North Shore

Stick Pick-Up 2019

Hello Neighbors,

We are pleased to announce that the North Shore Stick Pick-Up program is back again this year using Bobby Branch.

Homeowners seemed to be pleased with the job Bobby did last year. He will bring his dump truck with a 20’ trailer and will use a small Bob Cat type vehicle to pick up the debris for deposit into his dump truck.  He will also rake the area and blow off that section, if appropriate.

What Bobby’s team WILL pick up:

  • Fallen tree limbs (homeowner needs to break into 6-foot sections)
  • Sticks
  • Bush clippings

What Bobby’s team WILL NOT pick up:

  • Cut down trees
  • Massive trimmings of many, if not all, trees and bushes on your property (by homeowner or landscaper)
  • Construction debris
  • Household trash
  • Leaves, pine cones, lawn clippings
  • Material in bags (the Resource Center charges Bobby extra for bag handling)

Pick up Dates:

March 18

June 17

Sept 23

Nov 18

Homeowners have options, at your expense, if you are unable to prepare for these dates or you have

too much yard waste for the purpose of this program:

1.  You may take your yard waste directly to:

Lee County Resource Management Facility at 331 Landfill Road in Lemon Springs (919-499-2312)

They don’t charge much by the pound and you can pick up some free mulch at the same time.

2. Contact one of these gentlemen:

Mark Reynolds 919-525-8556

Tony Forgione 919-356-5126

Bobby Branch 919-770-5641

3.  Take building/construction materials to:

Waste Management of the Carolinas at 2720 Wilkins Drive in Sanford (919-776-7800)

The charge is by weight and is under $20 for up to 500 pounds.

In order to maintain the character of our neighborhood, please do not put out stick piles until a week prior to the pick-up date.  Also note that dumping any debris on the lot of someone else or on common property is a violation of North Carolina General Statute 14-399 and could result in fines of up to not less than $500 to $2,000 and 24 to 100 hours of community service.
