Governance of the North Shore Property Owners Association is subject to the following laws and internal governance documents:

Articles of Incorporation - document filed with the State of North Carolina to establish North Shore POA as a North Carolina Nonprofit Corporation. In addition to complying with the Planned Community Act, the POA must also comply with the
North Carolina Nonprofit Corporation Act. (NC GS Chapter 55A)
3. Bylaws - Adopted by the Members (lot owners) in North Shore to define the organization and operation of the POA, including how officers and directors are elected and how meetings are conducted
3. Covenants, Conditions, Reservations and Restrictions (CCRRs) - Adopted by the Members (lot owners) in North Shore to define the regulations applicable to every lot (and lot owner) in the POA.
From time-to-time other guidelines or policies are adopted by the Board of Directors to clarify or implement provisions of the Bylaws and CCRRs. Likewise, the Architectural Committee has adopted guidelines to clarify or implement provisions of the CCRRs on architectural control.
In the case of conflict among any provisions of these documents the higher listed document takes precedence.
